Now you can watch it, too: The official DVD featuring the entire Steuben Parade broadcast plus especially selected bonus material is available now for $10 (plus $2 S&H).

The 54th Steuben Parade was one of the largest and most colorful Parades ever to take place on Manhattan´s world-famous Fifth Avenue. Thousands of marchers - dancers, musicians, folks in Tracht and costumes representing every area of Germany, Schützen, and many more - were making their way up alongside Central Park in an amazing display of transatlantic friendship.

Led by four Grand Marshals - Travel Channel host Samantha Brown, German Federal Secretary Ilse Aigner, German Ambassador Peter Ammon, and Deutsche Welle Director Erik Bettermann - the Parade attracted an audience of tens of thousands clapping along and dancing in the streets. Enjoy this exclusive broadcast and relive a Parade that honors over 400 years of German-American history and celebrates all sorts of German-American culture and tradition.

Hosted by PBS stars Laura Savini and Theresa Statz-Smith as well as noted German TV reporter Jens Korte, this Steuben Parade broadcast is great entertainment for the entire family. The DVD includes guest appearances by former Grand Marshals Dr. Ruth Westheimer, Donald Trump, and Carol Alt, all of whom remember their own German-American experiences. New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg is featured welcoming Parade viewers, as are stars including German Olympic figure skater Norbert Schramm and Beard Team USA with their German-born champion Aarne Bielefeldt. They join German-Americans of all ages, toddlers to seniors, to wave their German and American flags and celebrate the amazing story of German immigration to the USA.

Order your copy of the 2011 Steuben Parade DVD now and enjoy this exclusive broadcast at home.

Special Bonus materials includes a "Best Of"-Reel and the entire First Division made up of the proud representatives of the Grand Council of Steuben Associations in Civil Service. Not seen on the original broadcast, these proud servicemen - Police, Firemen, and many more - lead the Parade with their traditional display of civil service and patriotism.

The DVD also includes the rousing rendition of "Take Me Home, Country Roads" by songwriter Bill Danoff recorded at the Steuben Parade Gala on the eve of the 2011 festivities. Bill Danoff wrote this classic hit for John Denver, himself a German-American who was honored with his own float during the Steuben Parade.
