STEUBEN PARADE GALA BANQUET -
A BLACK-TIE HIGHLIGHT OF PARADE WEEKEND

In just a few days, German-Americans from all over the US will be celebrating their heritage and culture with another magnificent Steuben Parade on Fifth Avenue. But festivities start on Parade eve: Join us on Friday, September 24, 2010 for our exclusive Steuben Parade Gala Banquet, a highlight for the German-American society and Benefit for the Parade.

New York Hilton & TowersThe Gala Banquet will take place at the Grand Ballroom of the New York Hilton & Towers, one of the city´s best hotels. The program includes a Cocktail Reception starting at 7 PM with the Banquet starting at 8 PM with the traditional Entrance of the Guests. Both Steuben Parade Grand Marshals, the legendary "Dr. Ruth" Westheimer and Dr. Michael Möller, CEO of the world-famous Hofbräuhaus will be introduced at the event and address the German-American audience.

Also, VIP from all over the German-American community will be in attendance, including members of the political and diplomatic corps, many of our cultural institutions, the business world and, of course, the clubs and social groups. We are also expecting many guests from Germany and Austria to attend this elegant affair, making it a wonderful opportunity to built transatlantic Bridges of Friendship.

Also, the Gala Banquet gives you the unique opportunity to view an exquisite one-night-only showcase of Meissen Porzellan. The world famous manufacturer is celebrating its 300th Anniversary and will show several pieces illustrating the rich history of the company. (Click here for more information.)

Steuben Parade partner Mercedes-Benz will also show some of their latest models, a German TV station Deutsche Welle will entertain a booth with information on their programming available in the US.

Over the last few years, the Steuben Parade Gala Banquet has become known for its short and sweet speeches and a strong focus on fun and entertainment. In this spirit, music will be provided by "The Jimmy Sturr Orchestra", the leading US Polka band. The National Anthems will be sung by internationally renowned Soprano Eva Lind, who will also sing during the Steuben Parade Mass at St. Patrick´s Cathedral the next morning.
